There are numerous props available for beginners that will help you to reach a particularly difficult pose. Since nobody is expected to get every pose correct the first time around, it makes sense to use a few props in order to achieve the proper pose. Soon enough, you will be able to go through all poses without the help of any prop. Still, it is important to get to the first few poses, which is why a prop will help with those harder asanas.
