Yoga Pants
Yoga pants are all the rage these days from yoga studios to achieving that casual look. Whether you intend to attend a class or not is up to you, but make sure you choose the right kind to wear.
Lately, the world has gone gaga over yoga pants. Thanks to great new clothing companies that have begun to manufacture fantastic, comfortable, pants, almost everyone owns a pair of these stretchy yoga wonders. Still, there is a right and wrong way to choose the best possible look for your bottom half. If you actually plan on going to a course or two, make sure to choose some that are loose and comfortable. If you just want to lounger around in your pair, you can still select ones that will flatter your body type.
Some of these pants are high waisted, which will only result in making your stomach look bigger. Others are low waisted, which is universally flattering…but watch out for that elastic waist band. If you have a bigger bottom, choose pants that include a drawstring top instead of an elastic top. This way, your bottom will look smaller while your stomach looks flatter. No matter what, be sure to choose a pair that actually fits you. If you are going to take a course you don’t want to be concerned about the way that your pants fit while trying to get through some complex poses.
You can certainly purchase yoga pants online, but it helps to try them on before you buy them. This way you can be sure that they actually fit your entire bottom. One last rule to think about… resist the urge to buy pants that are too low for your body. If you buy a pair that sits below your underwear line, you can be sure that your underwear will be showing while you bend over to do that downward dog. Essentially, you want to select a pair of pants that is comfortable and form fitting without being too tight to move in.
Spend some time looking for the right kind of pants for your body type. If you find a pair that you can move in (that also look great), you will be doing yourself a huge favor.
No matter what you wear yoga pants for (whether around town or to that yoga studio), be sure to find a pair that really flatters your shape.
